News 1 1 Geberit opens new showroom and training centre celebrating ten years in South Africa On 30 March 2017, Geberit Southern Africa welcomed their customers to a scintillating event at their new head office in Linbro Park. The transformation of their ware house into a glittering venue was remark able. Guests were welcomed by Erwin Kae lin, Head of Developing Markets, who gave a moving speech on the history of Geberit and in particular Geberit Southern Africa which led him into introducing the theme for the evening: “Time goes by. Quality re mains.” The guests were treated to aerial silk dance routines, highlighting the sheer volume of the new Geberit warehouse. Musical per formances by the Swing City band charmed the guests with their renditions of Swing and Jazz songs from years gone by which further reinforced the whole theme of “Time goes by. Quality remains.” After the screening of the theme movie, Mark Schurr, Managing Director of Geberit Southern Af rica, welcomed everyone. He presented the new products for 2017 and concluded with a short film introducing the new Geberit World, where design meets function. The big reveal took place after the delect able dinner. Ronald van Triest, member of the Group Executive Board, Erwin Kaelin and Mrs Helene Budliger Artieda, the Am bassador of Switzerland, officially opened the new showroom and training centre which Ronald van Triest alluded to being a gift to South Africa from the Geberit Group in recognition and celebration of the 10year anniversary of Geberit Southern Africa. The stateoftheart showroom was built to showcase the new Geberit Bath room Collection. Geberit Southern Africa is one of the launch markets for the new Geberit Bathroom series which encompass Geberit branded ceramics and bathroom furniture.
