keywords that are closely related to the theme of the website (i.e. to the services or products offered). The selected keywords play a critical role because the developer assumes that most users will find the website by entering the critical keywords into a search engine, and the search engine will thus refer them to the site based on the strength of the keyword’s affinity to the site. Keywords can be considered to be the link that will get the searchers to websites; they are the link that connects users looking for information online to specific sites. The diagram below shows a graphical view of this idea and the importance of keywords. As explained previously, SEO is more concerned with ranking high on the organic search engine results page (SERP) for selected keywords, but the process to achieve top rankings takes time and effort. With PPC, developers can start getting visitors to their sites immediately, but going this route you have to bid a determined amount on the selected keywords and as a result spend money each time a user clicks on one of your paid listings. Implementing SEO effectively on a constant basis can guarantee you top search engine rankings in the organic search results for your selected keywords, without having to pay Google.
