All networks showed a stronger bias towards proximity between new sources and destinations than would have been predicted by the BA model. • Upon closer examination of the newly created links links, we found than no sin- gle proximity model we examined appears to accurately predict this proximity across all networks. However, we did find that models that consider network proximity as a factor in link creation predict the empirical data better then preferential attachment.
