However, in this group pretreatment with 90 J/cm2 significantly reduced the TUNEL+ cell count (Figure 2(o)). Similarly, there was no significant difference in mean ONL thickness across the retinas of animals treated with 9, 18, or 36 J/cm2 red light, compared to light damaged controls (Figure 3(a)).
