Arrived from Dalaman to Ankara Internationl via Turkish Airlines. Taxi from airport (around $15-20) to hotel was 45 minutes to almost an hour in busy traffic. The Turkish Lira is around 30:1 to the USD, so everything was really inexpensive.Check-in was smooth and efficient using my Hilton Honors AMEX card and was booked using points (so was free).Unfortunately the floor I was on and room smelled like smoke, so had to go through the hassle of getting a different room on a different floor. The building is relatively modern looking and really catering to diplomats and conventions. To gain access you go through a metal detector once, but we never had to use it again during our stay (possibly mainly for luggage, but unsure).The buffet was wonderful, and one of our favorites for a Hilton. The executive lounge had the basics with a wonderful view of the city skyline. Ankara is really spread out with lots of green space.Location is excellent and nearby the main shopping and restaurant district.
