Zermama Zermama is a charming modern boutique hotel in charming Swiss village of Zermatt, Switzerland. Centrally located just steps away from the SBB main rail station and Gornergrat rail station, it is the perfect location for all your mountain fun.The staff is amazing.The rooms are beautiful and well appointed.But, whomever hired the architect to put windows in a bathroom, so you can see your travel partner taking a crap, should be fired. Seriously, I've seen this trend lately in new hotels where they find it necessary to put windows in bathrooms. Maybe I'm old school, but I'm not in the bathroom to be seen. I don't sit on the shitter trying to find some view of the Matterhorn. I'm there do get business done, and get out into the alps.So unless you're traveling solo, or don't mind watching your travel partner take a dump, I would look elsewhere.Don't worry Zermama, even the Burgenstock has glass doors in their bathrooms, but not for the toilet. Get a new architect (or interior designer - whomever is guilty), and I'll change this review to a must stay. |
