Embarkation Summary The embarkation (even with all check-in complete and Medallion in hand) took about 30 minutes.Carry-on luggage was stowed right away, even though the cabin was not complete. We simply dropped off the carry on bags and went to the buffet. The American Buffet is a waste of space, not worth trying. You get better food at the normal buffet. Service and selection were great. Food quality was excellent. Servers will come to your table to take your drink order.Drink Packages: Are they a value ? If you don't mind having limited selection, and over-consume to get the value, it may be worth it. If you drink enough to meet the package value, then you'll gain at least 10 pounds during the cruise - which is not healthy. I would AVOID all drink packages.Soda Package: Does not include the better tasting can soda. The soda fountain was less quality than a can of soda. If you drank the amount of soda required to meet the price, you'll consume something around 4,000 calories per day or more. The soda package is NOT for the mocktails, that is a separate package.Non-alcoholic Package: Does NOT include some premium mocktails (I didn't know there even was such a thing) and does not include non-alcoholic beer. Limited to 15 bottles of water per day. These limitations may change at the time of your cruise. Is it worth it ? No. You'll consume huge amounts of sugar and caffeine trying to match the daily value to recover your costs.Tips: Drink tips are automatically added at 20 percent. One of the bartenders told me that is what they get paid - no salary.
