Sunday in Aspen

Sunday started out as a sunny day, but got cloudy and a bit rainy by the afternoon. This was the day of relaxation, with only shopping, eating and a spa session on the list of things to do.

Breakfast at the Wienerstube

Breakfast

For breakfast, we decided to eat the German Wienerstube. It is the best of the greasy spoon type options you can get in Aspen. It was my favorite for breakfast fare. The outdoor seating was nice to watch the world go by.

Receipt from the Wienerstube for an example of breakfast prices.

Afternoon cocktails at LuLu's. We hear they had good dining too, but never got there for dinner.

The St. Regis has a very elegant lodge feel to it. I hope to stay there next time I visit Aspen.

Our afternoon relaxation for focused around the spa session at the St. Regis.

We decided to go back to Matsuhisa on Sunday night. Scallops.

Chef freebie. Fish, not sure what kind.

Kobe, round one.

Sea Bass and black bean.

Orion beer. Perfect to accompany the sushi.

Bento Box for dessert.

Matsuhisa, Aspen.

We sat at the sushi bar and got to watch them prepare dishes as we enjoyed eating them.

Scallops

Another view of the wonderful scallops. They are the best scallops I've ever eaten. The chefs there were amazing.

Dinner

Scallops

Yes, they were so good they get a few https://cruisingreview.com/cruise-reviews/photos. World class food.

Food Prices

The food here is great, and you pay for it. Expensive ? Yes, but worth it. Here are some sample prices.

Sunday - End of Day

Sunday was our most relaxing day in Aspen. The highlight of the day was the spa session at the St. Regis and dinner at Mitsuhisa. Since the next morning we had to be up early to pack and prepare for our sunrise balloon ride, we went back to the condo early.
